Armstrong is home to Speltz Studio of Wildlife. J.D. Speltz is a renowned artist who has won the honor of painting many wildlife stamps for the state of Iowa. Speltz Studio has moved to a different location in Armstrong. Please contact us for more information.

Armstrong-Ringsted School district offers some of the finest facilities in the area. A new junior high addition was built in 2003.

Armstrong is also known for its Independence Day celebrations. Thousands of people come together on the 4th of July for a great family experience.

A short (half-hour) drive west is Iowa's premier resort area -- Spirit Lake and Lake Okoboji -- along with Arnold's Park Amusement Park.
